Dana White reveals his favorite UFC knockout of all time – but it’s not for the reason you think

Dana White has a favorite UFC knockout – but it’s not because he has anything against Ben Askren.

The UFC president has promoted a lot of fights – and has been a fan for hundreds, if not thousands, more. So which one is his all time favorite?

During an “Ask Me Anything” hosted by Reddit, White was asked the simple question, “What is your favorite knockout of all time?” White said it’s hard not to give Jorge Masvidal his due.

“Hmmm,” White wrote, in response. “When I give you this answer everyone is going to think it’s because I don’t like Ben Askren. And it’s just not true at all. I do like Ben. But it’s hard not to pick Masvidal vs Askren.”

When Masvidal knocked out Ben Askren with a record-breaking flying knee at UFC 239 in July 2019, shockwaves were sent throughout the MMA world.

Seemingly upon impact, it began being discussed as one of the greatest knockouts in MMA history – a title White is willing to give it.

Over the years, a rivalry between White and Askren was perceived by the masses due to ongoing comments made by both. However, upon Askren’s entry into the UFC, White took every opportunity possible to shoot down any talk he didn’t like the UFC welterweight.

Even after Askren’s retirement, White is standing by his denial of any sort of hard feelings.
