Donald Cerrone will look to obtain some much-desired revenge against Anthony Pettis this Saturday night (May 9, 2020) at UFC 249 from inside VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida on ESPN+ pay-per-view (PPV).

While a second win over “Cowboy” won’t net him another title shot, it will give him some much-needed confidence, as he will avoid dropping his third straight bout inside the Octagon. On the flip side, Cerrone is also hungry for a win, as he has now lost three in a row, all via knockout.

Cerrone recently made an eyebrow-raising proclamation by admitting that he wasn’t mentally checked in for his fight against Conor McGregor at UFC 246 earlier this year, saying that once fight night rolled around he realized he didn’t want to be there. What resulted was a 40-second knockout defeat (see it here). An impressive outing against Pettis will prove that he still has plenty left to offer the fight game.

MMAmania.com will deliver LIVE round-by-round, blow-by-blow coverage of the entire UFC 249 fight card right here, starting with the ESPN+/Fight Pass “Prelims” matches online, which are scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. ET, then the remaining undercard balance on ESPN+/ESPN at 8 p.m. ET, before the PPV main card start time at 10 p.m. ET on ESPN+.
