Yes, young Padawan: You really can train in ‘Star Wars’ gloves

Every year on May 4, lovers of galaxies far, far away celebrate Star Wars Day – as in “May the Fourth be with you.”

The combat sports world no doubt has no shortage of lovers of the Star Wars universe, and while seeing these gloves for the first time Monday might be too late for this year’s Star Wars Day, it’s never too early to start thinking about Star Wars Day 2021.

Sanabul has created officially licensed Star Wars-inspired boxing gloves modeled after Darth Vader or Stormtroopers if you’re in a villainous mood, or R2-D2 and the Rebel Alliance if you wanna be with the good guys.

Sanabul’s fight team includes UFC Hall of Famer and former middleweight champion Michael Bisping, current bantamweight contender Sean O’Malley and Guilherme Vasconcelos.

Sanabul’s Star-Wars themed gloves, made from an engineered vegan-friendly leather-like material, are 12-ounce gloves for women and 14 ounces for men.

Check out a photo gallery of the gloves below and a video preview of them above.
