UFC 249 ‘Embedded,’ No. 4: Dominick Cruz, Henry Cejudo’s coach exchange some words

The UFC returns on Saturday after a two-month hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic, and the organization’s popular “Embedded” series is giving a behind-the-scenes look at the measures being taken to put on an event under unprecedented circumstances.

UFC 249 takes place at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Fla. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN and ESPN+.

In the main event, Tony Ferguson (25-3 MMA, 15-1 UFC) meets Justin Gaethje (21-2 MMA, 4-2 UFC) for the interim lightweight title. In the co-feature, bantamweight champion Henry Cejudo (15-2 MMA, 9-2 UFC) puts his title on the line for the first time against former divisional kingpin Dominick Cruz (22-2 MMA, 5-1 UFC).

The fourth episode of “Embedded” follows the big-name stars at the top of the card and more. Here’s the UFC’s description:

Dominick Cruz changes his weight-cut regimen and asks Henry Cejudo for a hug. Tony Ferguson accepts a chess challenge. The arena gets set up under social distancing guidelines. Stars including Cowboy Cerrone and Anthony Pettis attend a virtual media day.
