After running a trio of mixed martial arts (MMA) events inside VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will return to its home base in Las Vegas, Nevada for the foreseeable future, starting with its “Fight Night” event on May 30.

That’s according to a report from Adam Hill of Las Vegas Review-Journal, who confirmed the location was “a go” with promotion president Dana White. UFC will be using its APEX facility, home of Contender Series and The Ultimate Fighter (TUF).

It should be noted that Nevada has remained under quarantine for nearly two months and the state athletic commission, which closed up shop in late March, has yet to issue any kind of statement on the future of combat sports regulation.

The May 30 fight card is expected to be headlined by the welterweight showdown between former champion Tyron Woodley and streaking 170-pound contender Gilbert Burns. Elsewhere on the card, strawweight attraction Mackenzie Dern goes to war against Hannah Cifers, while Klidson Abreu gets busy with Jamahal Hill in light heavyweight action.
