Bellator 204: “Caldwell vs. Lahat” took place Aug. 17, 2018, at Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Yours truly covered this event in person. And given the global pandemic we’re all now dealing with, the idea of seeing fights live (let alone with fans in attendance) now seems like an almost foreign concept.

The show turned out to be well worth the trip. Darrion Caldwell finished Noad Lahat in the main event. Ricky Bandejas scored a huge upset win over previously undefeated Irish lad “Strabanimal” James Gallagher. Local South Dakota favorite Logan Storley stayed unbeaten with a win over A.J. Matthews, and “Speedy” Tywan Claxton did a Fortnite dance. Seriously.
