Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) today (Weds., May 27) received the green light for its return to Las Vegas, as Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) passed a unanimous vote to allow combat sports to once again be held in “Sin City.”

As of this writing, UFC has been cleared to stage two upcoming events: UFC on ESPN 9 on May 30 and UFC 250 on June 6, both of which will be held without an audience. In addition, the promotion must adhere to specific (and more stringent) COVID-19 protocols.

UFC on ESPN 9 will be headlined by the welterweight showdown between Tyron Woodley and Gilbert Burns. UFC 250, meanwhile, gives pay-per-view (PPV) duties to women’s featherweight champion Amanda Nunes, who puts her title on the line against Felicia Spencer.
