Dana White: No plans in place for Conor McGregor’s next fight

Conor McGregor may have a lot of options, but Dana White thinks he should wait and see how things pan out.

Speaking to broadcast partner ESPN, UFC president White said he has not been in discussions with McGregor in regards to his next fight.

The former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion returned in fantastic form in January when he stopped Donald Cerrone in just 40 seconds.

McGregor (22-4 MMA, 10-2 UFC) has been recently called out by UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman and even former UFC middleweight king Anderson Silva, but White would like McGregor to focus on the lightweight division.

“Conor and I have not talked about fighting,” White said. “If you’re Conor and you’re sitting home – I mean everybody’s calling you out in every weight division. Who’s next? I’m waiting. Who’s going to call him out next? It’s crazy.

“You know Conor and his personality. He’s going to respond to you. Conor and I have not talked about a fight. I think what Conor needs to do is sit back, let a lot of these fights start rolling – and obviously the most important division, the (1)55-pound division – and see what plays out for him.”
