Free Fight! Nunes KO’s Cyborg, Becomes UFC Champ-Champ

From the jump, the action got started hot and heavy, with the two exchanging haymakers in the first 20 seconds. After getting clipped by a couple sold strikes, Cyborg decided to go on the attack, blitzing Nunes and forcing her to back up to the cage. But that didn’t stop Amanda from popping off shots, as she landed a huge right hand that dropped her overzealous foe.

After getting right back up, Cyborg once again found herself on the end of Nunes’ strikes, this time dropping her with a huge overhand right. Once again, Cris got back to her feet only to get dropped again a few seconds later. After popping back up, yet again, Cyborg was the recipient of one final overhand right that put her out for the count. And just like that, Nunes claimed the women’s Featherweight title, becoming the promotion’s first-ever female champ-champ in the process.

Now, Nunes is set to defend her 145-pound title for the first time as she faces Felicia Spencer this Sat. night (June 6, 2020) at UFC 250, which is set to go down inside Apex facility in Las Vegas, Nevada and only on ESPN+ pay-per-view (PPV),
