Late Withdrawal Shakes Up UFC 250 Fight Card

Roughly 48 hours before Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) was set to go live with its finalized UFC 250 pay-per-view (PPV) fight card, the promotion will instead be forced to rework the ESPN “Prelims” portion of its lineup after the late withdrawal of middleweight veteran Ian Heinisch.

That’s according to a report from MMA Fighting, which suggests the promotion is already on the hunt for a late replacement, though UFC has yet to make an official announcement.

Gerald Meerschaert doesn’t sound too worried.

“Everyone take a deep breath,” the fighter known as “GM3” wrote on Twitter. “You’ll see me in the Octagon Saturday.”

Jared “Flash” Gordon has already volunteered his services.

UFC 250 will be headlined by the women’s featherweight title fight pitting reigning division champion, Amanda Nunes, against top 145-pound contender, Felicia Spencer. Joining them are 135-pound co-headliners Cody Garbrandt and Raphael Assuncao.
