LIVE! UFC 250 PPV Radio-Style Streaming Updates

June M. Williams

We’ve purchased the ESPN+ pay-per-view (PPV) and with it our dynamic tag team duo, Matt Ryan and Harry Terjanian, will deliver the best possible ‘radio style’ play-by-play broadcast imaginable throughout UFC 250’s main card, starting at 10 p.m. ET in the video player below!

It’s pretty damn silly at a time like this in the midst of a global pandemic and our cities full of protestors yearning for their rights to be treated as equal humans, but it is once again a UFC pay- per-view (PPV) fight night.

Tonight (Sat., June 6, 2020) is a card, UFC 250 (results here), that some will consider full of hidden gems and sleeper fights, some will consider it to be a piss poor excuse of an ESPN+ PPV event, and some will just be happy there are things on television to distract them from the dumpster fire going on right now outside their windows.

Ever since what I’ve come to call the “never-ending off-season” people around the world have been carrying around frustrations, anger, sadness, rage, and all of the other not-so fun emotions we get to release when the world is “normal” through social gatherings, sporting events, or other things that are done outside of our homes like a water balloon that is slowly filling up.

For many, that water balloon exploded last Monday when a man in Minneapolis, Minn., George Floyd, was killed by a police officer while being apprehended for a less than dangerous crime. Since then we’ve seen protests both peaceful and otherwise, actions taken by police that one thought we’d never see again since the last time we never thought we’d see it again.

While we will spend tonight attempting to entertain you with play-by-play of the fights, poorly structured jokes on fighters, fight culture and MMA’s favorite puppet, we are not living in a bubble and claiming everything is okay. Indeed, everything is very much not okay. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist or a fat dude with a media studies degree from NYU to point out that things are pretty screwed up right now.

This is just our pledge that we will do what we can to entertain and inform people about what we can. If you’re watching along tonight and prefer what we’re doing to the PPV, we kindly ask you donate money to either a COVID-19 relief fund, George Floyd’s family, or to a charitable organization.

If you’re able to do both (donate and purchase the PPV), please do, we want you to have fun with us and be a part of a community that is growing and becoming one that people can have fun and enjoy just four hours we are on the air each month. If you’re unable to do either, that’s okay. We’re still here and we’re still sportsyelling (patent pending).

Let’s try to have some fun, let’s try to take care of each other, let’s try to be a community and not just a far-flung group of violence enthusiasts.

We love you, stay safe.
