Bringing you the weird and wild from the world of MMA each and every weeknight!

Welcome to Midnight Mania!

The saga of Darren Till and Mike Perry is a strange one that just keeps getting stranger. At first, it made sense. At a certain point in time, the two were hotshot Welterweight prospects who liked to knock people out and make funny comments. The fight seemed inevitable! Then, Perry suffered some losses, Till relocated to Middleweight, and the two appeared to bury the hatchet while still tossing out the occasional joking insult.

At some point in the last couple months, Till irritated Perry to the point of no return with comments about his latest girlfriend/coach. Perry blocked Till on social media, and that probably should have deescalated the situation …

Not so.

On Instagram, Till created another account with the sole intention of mocking Perry via memes. The account already has 11k followers at the time of writing (a number sure to expand), and here’s a sample of his work:

Does what it says on the tin, bum city.

Of course, it takes little time and energy to create an Instagram account and post old memes and pictures. Till took it a step further with the creation of MikePerryIsABum.com, which I would highly recommend perusing. The site prominently features pictures of Perry in precarious and bloody situations, but the real glory is the “Our Partners” section. It features four pictures of Till’s face photoshopped onto the heads of Dana White, Jeremy Stephens (maybe???), Angela Hill, and Yoel Romero.

Each of the “partners” links to a video of Perry being knocked out in a professional boxing match.

At this point in time, a Till vs. Perry booking appears impossible. If that’s the case, the beef will be restrained to words, and Darren Till has taken a massive, likely insurmountable lead.

This strange — yet unsurprising — highlight that Tony Ferguson posted seems to indicate Conor McGregor may be next for “El Cucuy.”

It cost UFC very little to hold last Saturday’s event. Maybe shows like that are why they’re less than interested in half-full venues?

Speaking of UFC fighter pay, Gray Maynard’s tweets last week sparked further discussion about the company’s ills. For context, Matt Pena was the longtime boxing coach of the Miletich Fighting Systems team (Matt Hughes, Robbie Lawler, Tim Sylvia etc).

These kickboxers go at it from the first bell!

It blows my mind a bit that we have boxing footage from 1934. Also, I don’t quite understand what boxing referees actually did in the ‘30s!

This clip is hard to believe, looks almost like an optical illusion.
