With Ian Heinisch out, Kyle Daukaus steps in against Brendan Allen at UFC’s June 27 event

Kyle Daukaus will finally get his opportunity to walk to the octagon as a UFC fighter.

Ian Heinisch has been forced out of the UFC’s June 27 event, and Daukaus (9-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) will make his promotional debut on short notice against Brendan Allen (14-3 MMA, 2-0 UFC), Daukaus’ management team revealed Tuesday on social media.

Daukaus, who picked up a win over Michael Lombardo on “Dana White’s Contender Series” last June, did not earn a UFC contract that night. Since then, the undefeated CFFC middleweight champion has picked up back-to-back second-round submission wins.

Winner of his last six fights, Allen punched his ticket to the UFC last July, when he submitted Aaron Jeffery in Round 1. He made good in his first two UFC bouts, scoring back-to-back stoppage wins over Kevin Holland and Tom Breese.

The UFC’s June 27 lineup currently includes:

  • Dustin Poirier vs. Dan Hooker
  • Aspen Ladd vs. Sara McMann
  • Viviane Araujo vs. Jennifer Maia
  • Maurice Greene vs. Gian Villante
  • Tanner Boser vs. Philipe Lins
  • Mickey Gall vs. Mike Perry
  • Brendan Allen vs. Kyle Daukaus
  • Luis Pena vs. Khama Worthy
  • Kyle Nelson vs. Sean Woodson
