QAnon Patches Launch UFC Investigation

If Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight veteran Donald Cerrone can’t wear the U.S. flag on his fight shorts, you can rest assured that longtime cutman Don House will be prohibited from flaunting patches that represent QAnon.

He did anyway, and now he’s in all sorts of trouble.

“This was a violation of our staff event outfitting policy and the matter will be thoroughly investigated,” the UFC said in a statement to ESPN.

For those of you not up to speed on the latest political drama, QAnon is defined as a “far-right conspiracy theory detailing a supposed secret plot by an alleged ‘deep state’ against Donald Trump and his supporters,” according to Wikipedia.

“The cutman sported a ‘Q’ logo on the front of his shirt and a WWG1WGA logo on the left arm of his shirt, the latter of which stands for ‘Where we go one we go all’ and is used exclusively by QAnon supporters,” Karim Zidan wrote for Bloody Elbow.

House and his patches of ill repute were visible during the UFC on ESPN 11 main event between Curtis Blaydes and Alexander Volkov, which aired on both ESPN and ESPN+ last Sat. night (June 20, 2020) inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Late last week, a photo surfaced of a white flag with a black “Q” atop the roof of Jackson-Winkeljohn MMA Academy in Albuquerque, New Mexico; however, the owners claim it was the work of mischievous vandals and not a representation of the gym’s political views.

2020 folks … I’m not sure what else to say at this point.
