UFC free fight: Relive Joanna Jedrzejcyzk’s second win over Claudia Gadelha

There’s no doubt Joanna Jedrzejczyk is the most accomplished strawweight in UFC history.

The Polish fighter made her mark in the company off dominant performances, but most importantly the number of title defenses she was able to rack up at 115 pounds, as she held the belt for more than two years. Jedrzejczyk (16-4 MMA, 10-4 UFC) was able to defend her strawweight title five consecutive times before dropping it to Rose Namajunas in 2017.

One of her most memorable title defenses along the way was her rematch against Claudia Gadelha. It was a heated rivalry that won ‘Fight of the Night’ honors at the TUF 23 Finale in July, 2016. Jedrjezczyk rallied back from a slow start to take a unanimous decision on scores of 48-46, 48-45, and 48-46, as she vanquished her capable foe for the second time.

Jedrzejczyk is still capable of putting on great fights: Her split decision loss to Zhang Weili, the current champ, at UFC 248 could very well end up 2020 fight of the year.

While we wait for her next fight announcement, the UFC has made the bout with Gadelha free to watch. You can relive the memorable back-and-forth battle by watching the video above.
