UFC on ESPN 12 weigh-in highlights: Mike Perry and that pesky face mask

LAS VEGAS – Mike Perry didn’t seem that interested in wearing his face mask onto the scale at the UFC on ESPN 4 weigh-ins Friday for a key reason.

When he was reminded it was a requirement, he put it on – but could be heard saying it was going to add to his weight, and that he had stepped on the test scale without it.

As it turned out, Perry (13-6 MMA, 6-6 UFC), who meets Mickey Gall (6-2 MMA, 5-2 UFC) in the welterweight co-main event, was 171 pounds and didn’t have any issues. Gall came in at 170.

UFC on ESPN 12 takes place Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The card airs on ESPN and streams on ESPN+.
