Dana White’s Contender Series adds Rafael Alves vs. Alejandro Flores

It’ll be Titan FC vs. Combate Americas on Dana White’s Contender Series this summer.

Titan FC interim lightweight champion Rafael Alves and Combate Americas standout Alejandro Flores are expected to fight Aug. 25 at DWCS 30 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas – pending bout finalization.

MMA Junkie confirmed the booking with a person with knowledge of the situation on Friday after an initial report by Combate. The person asked to remain anonymous as the promotion has yet to make an official announcement.

Dana White’s Contender Series, Season 4 kicks off Aug. 4 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The season is expected to run for 10 episodes, with the finale taking place Oct. 6.

Alves (18-9 MMA) hasn’t competed since April 2019 when he was featured on an episode of “Dana White: Lookin’ for a Fight.” His second-round knockout over Felipe Douglas at Titan FC 54 impressed UFC president Dana White, who offered Alves a shot on DWCS. Due to visa issues, Alves was unable to compete on Season 3.

Nicknamed “Gallito,” Flores (17-2 MMA) has won nine of his last 10 fights. Largely competing under the Combate Americas banner, Flores has accumulated seven finishes in 17 victories.
