Hermansson Heel Hooks Gastelum!

Jack Hermansson and Kelvin Gastelum faced off in a Middleweight bout tonight (Sat., July 18, 2020) at UFC Fight Night 172 from inside “Fight Island” in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Hermansson landed some body kicks early in the fight. When “Joker” attempted a clinch takedown, Gastelum flung him across the Octagon and landed in top position. From his back, Hermansson began to reap the knee and attack the heel hook. Out of nowhere, the submission was locked in, and Gastelum was forced to tap!

This is an absolutely huge win for Hermansson, who was able to impose his grappling advantage in a rather unorthodox manner. The Swede returns to the win column in style and lines himself up for a major fight next, whereas Gastelum has now lost three straight fights.
