Bare Knuckle FC has finally made it to the next level in the world of combat sports, as the organization recently signed a broadcast deal with streaming service DAZN, per a recent report by MMA Fighting (the deal was originally revealed by The Athletic).

The partnership, which will stream BKFC events exclusively on the DAZN platform, is set to begin this August, as the promotion’s next four cards are scheduled for Aug. 21, Sept. 19, Oct. 16 and Nov. 14.

While BKFC isn’t the most popular entity in combat sports today it makes sense that DAZN is pulling the trigger on the partnership at this point in time. The ongoing COVID-19 outbreak has cast a dark shadow across all sports, leaving certain streaming services and broadcast companies searching for extra revenue trails. Adding bare knuckle boxing to an already worthy lineup of offerings is only going to help DAZN’s business plans in the long run.

On the flip side, this is a tremendous opportunity for BKFC to escape the depths of combat sports and gain a little more notoriety and coverage as a member of the DAZN network. BKFC hasn’t done terribly since its inception just over one year ago but it has struggled to truly grab the attention of fight fans everywhere. Hosting events live on DAZN, which sports eight million subscribers across the world, should do wonders for the new promotion heading into 2021.

Currently, BKFC houses prominent stars such as Wanderlei Silva, Artem Lobov, Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva, Gabriel Gonzaga, Bec Rawlings, Jason Knight, and Chris Leben. The promotion even tried to recruit Mike Tyson for a massive comeback fight, but that ultimately fizzled out.
