UFC on ESPN+ 31 weigh-in results: One fighter misses; Perez vs. Ontiveros canceled

LAS VEGAS – MMA Junkie was on scene and reporting live from Friday’s early and official UFC on ESPN+ 31 fighter weigh-ins.

The weigh-ins take place at the UFC Apex. UFC on ESPN+ 31 takes place Saturday at the same venue. The card streams entirely on ESPN+.

Among those weighing in are Derek Brunson and Edmen Shahbazyan, who meet in the middleweight main event. Brunson represents the 22-year-old Shahbazyan’s biggest test to date.

All but one of the fighters who stepped on the scale made weight. One fight was canceled, though, as Charles Ontiveros was deemed ineligible to compete after stepping in for Eric Spicely on just hours’ notice against Markus Perez.
