The action delivered as advertised last night (Sat., Aug. 15, 2020) at UFC 252 live on ESPN+ pay-per-view (PPV) from inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, as UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic went toe-to-toe with Daniel Cormier to settle their trilogy. Miocic ended up taking “DC” the distance and captured the unanimous decision win (highlights HERE).

In addition to the heavyweight main event, bantamweight finisher Marlon Vera handed rising star Sean O’Malley his first pro loss in a disappointing co-headliner, heavyweight knockout specialist Jairzinho Rozenstruik got back into the win column with a second-round finish over Junior dos Santos, and journeyman Daniel Pineda made a big return to the Octagon with a TKO finish over Herbert Burns.

Fight fans also got to see a slick first-round armbar finish by women’s strawweight contender Virna Jandiroba and a “Prelims” barn burner between featherweights Kai Kamaka and Tony Kelley.
