Reigning Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight champion Israel Adesanya will defend his division title against undefeated 185-pound bruiser Paulo Costa in the UFC 253 pay-per-view (PPV) main event on Sat., Sept. 26, 2020 inside Flash Forum on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi.

Adesanya (19-0), who captured the division crown by planishing Robert Whittaker last October, is coming off a decision win over Yoel Romero back in March and hopes to finally silence the “dumb casuals” by putting Costa in his place.

Before that epic grudge match gets underway, “The Last Stylebender” — and his new hairdo — took center stage to field questions from the mixed martial arts (MMA) media. Topics included Costa, Jon Jones, and the future of the 185-pound weight class.
