DWCS 30 fighter has cringeworthy pre-fight moment (but follows up with a win)

When it comes to Rafael Alves big moment Tuesday at Dana White’s Contender Series 30, there’s some good and bad news.

Let’s start with the bad news – which is this entrance into the octagon (via Twitter):

Stick the landing, he did not.

HOWEVER, the Brazilian didn’t let that mishap bother him (obviously since he gave it another shot). Whereas he didn’t stick the landing literally before the fight, he did in a figurative sense during the fight by submitting Alejandro Flories with a guillotine choke in the second round of their featherweight bout.

You can check that out here (via Twitter):

There was also this moment after the fight with UFC president Dana White, where he approached the boss with a fake contract:

Listen, you win some, you lose some. Was Alves’ pre-fight moment cringeworthy? You bet it was. But the important thing is he got the win – and a finish – in front of UFC president Dana White.

We’ll update you on his contract situation after the show ends.

UPDATE: Alves got the contract!
