A much-anticpated Heavyweight showdown between Derrick Lewis and Curtis Blaydes will finally go down at an upcoming UFC Fight Night event set to go down on November 28, 2020 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The two big men have gone at each other over social media, accusing each other of avoiding the match up. For Blaydes, getting through “Black Beast” will likely put him over the hump and into a title fight.

And since Lewis is very beatable according to “Razor,” his championship aspirations look good.

“He’s a great matchup, he’s ranked right below me, and he’s very beatable,” Blaydes told TheScore. “And pretty much he’s the only guy available. There isn’t anyone else worth a fight. I’m not gonna take on a guy ranked eighth or 10th or whatever.”

According to Blaydes, Lewis was only able to hide for so long because at the end of the day, the only other option thr nig man had was to fight someone ranked below him.

“I’ve been calling him out for almost two years now, so eventually I knew it was going to happen,” Blaydes said. “He can only hide for so long.”

Despite Stipe Miocic’s hesitation, he is set to rematch Francis Ngannou later this year for the Heavyweight title, which means the winner of Lewis vs Blaydes would be in prime position to face the winner.

Of course, should Jon Jones decide to make his Heavyweight debut sooner rather than later, the waiting period for Lewis or Blaydes could be longer than anticipated.
