Michelle Waterson will look to avoid her third straight loss this Saturday night (Sept. 12, 2020) when she faces Angela Hill in the main event of UFC Vegas 10 inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada. Indeed, “Karate Hottie” had seen better days inside the Octagon before dropping consecutive bouts to Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Carla Esparza.

Before she takes on “Overkill,” let’s take a trip down memory lane to see one of Waterson’s finer moments inside the eight-sided cage. Back in 2016, “Karate Hottie” found herself locked inside the cage with another rising contender at the time, Paige VanZant, who was still riding her “it” factor to big paydays and sponsorships. “12 Gauge” was also coming off a spectacular switch kick knockout win over Bec Rawlings, so her confidence was sky high.

Both ladies started off cautious with neither really going in and taking risks. Two minutes in, Waterson executed a beautiful head-and-arm throw from the clinch and proceeded to look for a submission. After a minute of trying, “Karate Hottie” eventually sunk it in. 20 seconds later, VanZant was taking a nap.

Now, Waterson will look to get back to those winning ways as she takes on the always-game Hill, who is looking to get a huge win in order to get back on track following her highly-controversial split-decision loss to Claudia Gadelha.
