Get a detailed breakdown of the betting lines for UFC Vegas 10, which is set to hit UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, this weekend (Sat., Sept. 12, 2020), including best bets, underdogs, favorites and much more!

The Strawweights come to the rescue this Saturday (Sept. 12, 2020) when Michelle Waterson and Angela Hill headline UFC’s latest trip to UFC APEX in Las Vegas Nevada, replacing the stricken Glover Teixeira and his lost clash with Thiago Santos. Meanwhile, 40 pounds north, Ottman Azaitar attempts to halt the unexpected rise of Khama Worthy, while Andrea Lee looks to resume her Strawweight climb at Roxanne Modafferi’s expense.

We’ve got some UFC Vegas 10 odds to wrangle before that, though, so let’s not delay …

What Went Wrong at UFC Vegas 9?

Alexander Romanov and Karol Rosa never made it to the cage, leaving the payout from Viviane Araujo’s victory somewhat smaller than expected, but things still worked out. Props to Ovince Saint Preux for crushing Alonzo Menifield and erasing my bad calls on Bartosz Fabinski and Augusto Sakai.

UFC Vegas 10 Odds For The Undercard:

Tyson Nam (-125) vs. Matt Schnell (+105)
Julia Avila (-310) vs. Sijara Eubanks (+255)
Matt Frevola (-115) vs. Roosevelt Roberts (-105)
Bobby Green (-245) vs. Alan Patrick (+205)
Frank Camacho (-225) Jalin Turner vs. Brok Weaver (Details)
Bryan Barberena (-275) vs. Anthony Ivy (+235)
Sabina Mazo (-245) vs. Justine Kish (+205)

Thoughts: Tyson Nam, Roosevelt Roberts, Bobby Green and Brok Weaver come on down.

Nam’s greatest enemy in this fight — as in many of his match ups — is himself. He’s got the wrestling chops to keep it standing and the power to crack Matt Schnell’s chin, which has already failed him thrice in the Octagon. He also has a bad habit of letting fights get away from him through lack of urgency. Hell, against Ali Bagutinov, it took until 4:59 of the fifth round for him to kick the former title challenger in the head. The stylistic clash is far enough in his favor to be worth the investment, but his habit of self-sabotage means you should limit things. Maybe slap on a favored fighter like Julia Avila or Bryan Barberena to nudge the odds into the positives.

Three of Matt Frevola’s four UFC appearances have seen him take massive damage, which isn’t a good sign against a superior boxer with height and reach advantages. Roberts is no slouch in the wrestling, either, limiting Frevola’s ability to grind out a decision when things start to go south on the feet. On top of that, Roberts also boasts a lethal guillotine that should serve as a potent deterrent should “The Steamrolla” become too eager to get in on his hips.

In short, -105 is too good a line to pass up.

Bobby Green is a terribly dangerous man when he lets his hands go — there’s a strong argument that he should be on a five-fight win streak. Most critically, his wrestling has largely held up during that span, allowing him to hold his own in that area against the likes of Francisco Trinaldo and Clay Guida. Patrick’s one-dimensional wrestling, lack of striking nuance, bare-bones volume, and nearly two-year layoff all add up to another Green victory and possibly even a stoppage.

Picking Brok Weaver is less a product of his Octagon accomplishments, which thus far include getting knocked cold by an illegal knee and then dominated by Roosevelt Roberts, and more about Frank Camacho’s shortcomings. “The Crank” is 1-4 in his last five and got thrashed in three of those defeats, including a 41-second mauling from Justin Jaynes in June. Weaver can hold his own in a firefight and looks to have the advantage in hand speed. Indeed, so long as “Chata Tuska” doesn’t lose position chasing hopeless guillotines, he should be able to out-slug his weathered foe for the upset.

UFC Vegas 10 Odds For The Main Card:

Angela Hill (-125) vs. Michelle Waterson (+105)
Khama Worthy (-135) vs. Ottman Azaitar (+115)
Andrea Lee (-320) vs. Roxanne Modafferi (+260)
Mike Rodriguez (-255) vs. Ed Herman (+215)
Billy Quarantillo (-255) vs. Kyle Nelson (+215)

Thoughts: Nothing hugely tempting, but I like the line on Angela Hill.

Outside of her armbar loss to Randa Markos, “Overkill’s” only defeats since 2017 have come via hotly disputed decision. She managed to hold her own against (and arguably defeat) one of the division’s dark horses in Claudia Gadelha last time out, and both her striking and defensive wrestling look sufficient to deal with Waterson’s flashy but largely powerless offense. Hill has more reach, more pop in her punches, and superior size, all of which should carry her to victory.
