Mike Rodriguez was ready for quick turnaround for Ed Herman: ‘When opportunity knocks, open the door’
LAS VEGAS – Ahead of Saturday’s UFC on ESPN+ 35, Mike Rodriguez sat down to talk about his training and fight during Thursday’s media day.
Rodriguez (11-4 MMA, 2-2 UFC) takes on longtime UFC fighter Ed Herman (24-14 MMA, 12-10 UFC) in a light heavyweight bout on the main card. Rodriguez is making a turnaround after fighting just three weeks ago with a first-round knockout of Marcin Prachnio.
“When opportunity knocks, open the door,” Rodriguez said of his opportunity to fight Herman on such short notice. Herman went through multiple opponent changes before Rodriguez stepped in.
