‘Short Fuse’ Wants To Fight ‘Punk’ Bisping

Grizzled light heavyweight veteran Ed Herman was expecting to be showered with accolades for the most epic comeback in UFC history, thanks to a third-round finish over Mike Rodriguez at the UFC Vegas 10 event earlier this month in “Sin City.”

Instead, “Short Fuse” got lambasted for selling a phantom nut shot.

One of Herman’s most outspoken critics was retired middleweight and former UFC champion Michael Bisping, who works the commentary table at the promotion’s APEX facility and happened to be cageside for the referee’s blown call.

“Bisping I think is kind of a punk, because to my face, he acts like he’s my buddy, and then kind of came after me and made me look bad and talked some trash, so it’s kind of messed up,” Herman told MMA Fighting. “If he wants to come out of retirement and throw the gloves on, we can do that.”

Rodriguez crumpled Herman with a knee to the body which referee Chris Tognoni mistook for a low blow, prompting a halt in the action. After using the break to recover from the near-finish, “Short Fuse” battled back to win the fight by submission.

“I feel like I just had the most epic comeback in UFC history,” Herman continued. “I was hurt badly multiple times and was able to recover and come back and get that victory. Whether the ref gave me a break or not, who’s to say what would have happened?”
