Face Off! ‘Stylebender’ Stares Down ‘Eraser’ In Abu Dhabi!

Reigning Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight champion Israel Adesanya will defend his division title against undefeated 185-pound bruiser Paulo Costa in the UFC 253 pay-per-view (PPV) main event this Sat. night (Sept. 26, 2020) inside Flash Forum on “Fight Island” (Yas Island) in Abu Dhabi.

To help get fans amped for this weekend’s epic grudge match, the promotion held a special pre-fight press conference featuring both “The Last Stylebender” and “The Eraser,” who came face-to-face for the second time this week at the conclusion of the media Q&A, as did co-headliners Dominick Reyes and Jan Blachowicz.

Adesanya (19-0), who captured the division crown by planishing Robert Whittaker last October, is coming off a decision win over Yoel Romero back in March and is hoping to clean out the middleweight division en route to a future Jon Jones fight in the heavyweight division.

Costa (13-0) blasted his way into the middleweight title picture with five straight wins under the UFC banner, with four of them ending by way of brutal knockout. “The Eraser” was last seen rubbing out Yoel Romero in their UFC 241 showdown in August 2019.
