What The Haka?

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) featherweight up-and-comer “Sugar” Shane Young (13-4) was fired up for his UFC 253 weigh-ins face off against Slovakian newcomer Ludovit Klein, taking the stage and firing off the Haka, a traditional dance of the Maori people.

Promotion president Dana White just stood there, completely baffled.

I suppose Young, who describes himself as being from “Maori and NZ European descent,” would have lost some of that big fight energy if he stopped to shake hands with his boss. Hopefully he keeps that same momentum for his showdown against the former lightweight.

Who missed weight by four pounds.
