UFC on ESPN+ 37 weigh-in results: All 26 fighters make weight in Abu Dhabi

ABU DHABI – MMA Junkie was on scene and reporting live from Friday’s official UFC on ESPN+ 37 fighter weigh-ins, which took place at Flash Forum at Yas Island in Abu Dhabi.

UFC on ESPN+ 37 takes place Saturday at the same venue. The main card airs on ESPN and streams on ESPN+ following prelims on ESPN+.

Among those who weighed in were Marlon Moraes (23-6-1 MMA, 5-2 UFC) and Cory Sandhagen (12-2 MMA, 5-1 UFC), who meet in the bantamweight main event, and Edson Barboza (20-9 MMA, 14-9 UFC) and Makwan Amirkhani (16-4 MMA, 6-2 UFC), who meet in the featherweight co-feature. All 26 fighters hit their contracted weights ahead of fight night to ensure the 13-fight card remains fully intact.

There were some late nerves as Ali Alqaisi arrived on the scale to make weight with just a few minutes to spare, but the bantamweight hit the 136-pound limit before going on to enjoy an extended, maskless staredown with opponent Tony Kelley at the subsequent faceoffs.

But the moment of the afternoon came when Brazilian Markus Perez, complete with “The Joker” facepaint, got up close and personal with former KSW and EFC champion Dricus du Plessis, who is set to make his UFC debut on Saturday night.
