Rick Glenn returns from 25-month layoff, fights Carlton Minus at UFC event on Dec. 19

A little more than two years after he last fought in the UFC, Rick Glenn will make the walk to the cage in December.

At an event expected to take place Dec. 19 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Glenn (21-6-1 MMA, 3-3 UFC) will move up to lightweight to take on promotional sophomore Carlton Minus, who will be dropping down from welterweight.

Multiple people with knowledge of the matchup recently informed MMA Junkie of the booking, but asked to remain anonymous since the promotion has yet to make an official announcement.

Glenn, 31, has won three of his most recent five outings. After beating Dennis Bermudez by split decision in July 2018, Glenn dropped a unanimous decision to Kevin Aguilar in November 2018. He has not fought since.

Minus (10-2 MMA, 0-1 UFC) made his promotional debut on short notice in August and dropped a unanimous decision to fellow promotional newcomer Matthew Semelsberger.

With the addition, the Dec. 19 lineup includes:

  • Sean Brady vs. Belal Muhammad
  • Antonio Braga Neto vs. Deron Winn
  • Rob Font vs. Marlon Moraes
  • Tafon Nchukwi vs. Jamie Pickett
  • Rick Glenn vs. Carlton Minus
