Khabib Nurmagomedov will not retire undefeated.

That’s according to longtime rival Nate Diaz, who brawled with Nurmagomedov during a World Series of Fighting (WSOF) event back in 2015. Diaz was there in support of teammate Jake Shields, while “The Eagle” was repping Abubakar Nurmagomedov.

”Khabib, I already slapped him in his face, I already told you guys,” Diaz previously told ESPN. “I don’t need to fight him anyways because I already got a victory over him, so it’s like he’s just going to hide out and play champ and act like a good guy, mister humble fucking Khabib. I’m not buying that shit. I don’t need to sit around here and chase nobody. Anybody need to do any chasing, they need to come this way.”

Nurmagomedov, 32, retired from mixed martial arts (MMA) with a submission victory over Justin Gaethje in the UFC 254 pay-per-view (PPV) main event last weekend on Fight Island in Abu Dhabi, keeping a promise he made to his mother after the death of his father.

The promotion made multiple attempts to book Diaz against Nurmagomedov in the past; however, UFC President Dana White claims the Stockton slapper turned the fight down. I guess if we’re going by street logic, it was an unnecessary rematch and a complete waste of time.

“I already slapped the guy on the street and that motherfucker didn’t do shit,” Diaz told TMZ about fighting Khabib. “And then he tried to roll up with his boys and I slapped all those motherfuckers too. Pussies.”

Diaz, 35, has not competed since losing to Jorge Masvidal at UFC 244.
