Giga Chikadze vs. Jamey Simmons added to UFC on ESPN+ 40
A late addition has been made to Saturday’s lineup at UFC on ESPN+ 40.
Giga Chikadze (11-2 MMA, 4-0 UFC) will face newcomer Jamey Simmons (6-2 MMA, 0-0 UFC) at UFC on ESPN+ 40, which takes place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
MMA Junkie confirmed the booking with multiple sources after an initial report from Adjara Sport.
Unbeaten in the UFC, Chikadze will be making a quick turnaround, for his fourth fight in 2020. The former Glory kickboxer is coming off a unanimous decision win over Omar Morales last month at UFC on ESPN+ 37 in Abu Dhabi.
Simmons, who signed a four-fight deal with the UFC, is coming off back-to-back first-round finishes, most recently knocking out Morgan Sickinger in the first round at Pure FC 16 last December.
With the addition, the UFC on ESPN+ 40 lineup includes:
