Reigning middleweight champion Israel Adesanya was on the scene last night for Dana White’s “Contender Series” in Las Vegas to corner City Kickboxing teammate Carlos Ulberg, who blasted his way into a UFC contract by way of faceplate knockout.

Say a little prayer for opponent Bruno Oliveira.

Ulberg was one of four combatants to ink a deal with the world’s preeminent MMA promotion and had some stiff competition in terms of the evening’s top knockout. Welterweight prospect Ignacio Bahamondes creamed Edson Gomez with a savage front kick.

Have a look.

Elsewhere on the card, featherweight phenom Luis Saldana kicked his way into the promotion at the expense of Vince Murdock, not long after Jared Vanderaa pounded out heavyweight hopeful Harry Hunsucker in the opening frame.

Check out those highlights below.
