Following Bellator 251 win, Georgi Karakhanyan wants rematch with ‘YouTuber’ Myles Jury

UNCASVILLE, Conn. – Georgi Karakhanyan wants to avenge his most recent loss.

After he was narrowly edged by Myles Jury at Bellator 243, Karakhanyan (30-11-1 MMA, 8-9 BMMA) rebounded with a much-needed split decision win over Bryce Logan at Bellator 251 on Thursday.

Jury (19-5 MMA, 2-1 BMMA) hasn’t competed since defeating Karakhanyan by split decision in August, but Karakhanyan wants to run things back with Jury since he thought he won their first meeting.

“I need to get tested against guys like this, but other than that, if Myles Jury is not making his stupid YouTube videos, I want to get a rematch with that idiot,” Karakhanyan said at the post-fight press conference. “Last time we fought, he was sitting here talking about title shots. I don’t know. That guy is delusional.

“I honestly thought I won. I was pressuring the whole fight. I was the most aggressive in that fight. He was just fighting like a YouTuber, man. He was scared and point fighting. But when I saw him in the hospital, he was limping pretty bad. If he wants to give me that rematch, yes. But if not, then (expletive) him. I don’t care about him.”

Karakhanyan entered his bout against Logan having lost three of his past four, and with Bellator’s recent roster cutbacks, Karakhanyan admitted he was feeling the pressure.

“A week ago, I saw a list of fighters that Bellator cut and I was like, holy (expletive),” Karakhanyan said. “I want to keep my job. This is what I do 24/7. I cut out all my bad habits. I used to smoke a lot of weed – I stopped that. I have three kids. I know I have a lot of talent, and I could bring a big force to this division. I want to fight the big names. If Ben Henderson is done, good luck to him. If he’s not done, I’d like to get that fight. But my ultimate goal is to be champion here.”
