Official ‘UFC on ESPN+ 41: Islam Makhachev vs. Rafael dos Anjos’ poster released

The second UFC event of November has an official look.

The official poster for UFC on ESPN+ 41 was released on Friday afternoon featuring, main event fighters Islam Makhachev and Rafael dos Anjos. Makhachev (18-1 MMA, 7-1 UFC) and dos Anjos (30-13 MMA, 18-11 UFC) will compete in a lightweight contest on Nov. 14 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

The two were originally slated to fight at UFC 254 on Oct. 24, but dos Anjos tested positive for COVID-19. The promotion could not find a suitable replacement to fight Makhachev, so he was also removed from the card.

Dos Anjos returns to lightweight for the first time since a November 2016 loss to Tony Ferguson. The former UFC lightweight champion is currently on a two fight losing streak. He last fought in January losing to Michael Chiesa at UFC on ESPN+ 24.

Meanwhile, Makhachev is coming off a decision win over Davi Ramos at UFC 242 in September 2019. The 29-year-old is currently on a six-fight winning streak.
