‘Monkey King’ Slam Good For Extra $50K

The unexpected eight-fight card delivered beautifully last night (Sat., Dec. 5, 2020) at UFC Vegas 16 live on ESPN+/ESPN2 from inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, as Marvin Vettori brought his game to a new level with a main event win over middleweight contender Jack Hermansson (highlights HERE).

In addition to Vettori’s breakout performance, undefeated light heavyweight contender Jamahal Hill scored a massive TKO win over former title challenger Ovince Saint Preux, Octagon newcomer Jordan Leavitt banked a devastating 22-second knockout slam, and lightweight fighter Gabriel Benitez stopped Justin Jaynes with a nasty knee to the body.

Fight fans also saw an action-packed “Prelims” card complete with a Louis Smolka TKO stoppage and a one-punch knockout finish by talented youngster Ilia Topuria.
