Longtime mixed martial arts (MMA) manager Ali Abdelaziz has a history of inserting himself into the feuds of his top clients like Khabib Nurmagomedov and Kamaru Usman, drawing the ire of Conor McGregor and Colby Covington, among others.

That may explain why Abdelaziz was talking shit about Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight contender Tony Ferguson, no stranger to trash talk with Nurmagomedov. Abdelaziz called Ferguson a “white belt” during his UFC 256 loss to Charles Oliveira.

“You are [irrelevant] now you can say whatever you want nobody cares, I wish you good retirement,” Abdelaziz said in follow-up tweets. “You’re lucky you lost because Khabib [would] cripple you. You know it, I know it, and now the whole world know it. You are now gatekeeper, young upcoming talent to beat your ass.”

But would Abdelaziz be willing to put his money where his mouth is?

Ferguson, a black belt under Eddie Bravo, dropped back-to-back fights for the first time in his storied mixed martial arts (MMA) career. Prior to his Oliveira loss at UFC 256, “El Cucuy” went down in flames against Justin Gaethje last May.

That said, I’d still favor him to whoop Abdelaziz.
