5 burning questions heading into UFC Fight Night 183

A memorable run that began July 12 comes to a close Saturday with UFC Fight Night 183.

The event marks the 25th card the UFC has staged during this run of at least one event per week getting caught up on the schedule after everyone was thrown a curveball earlier this year by the coronavirus pandemic.

The promotion finally takes a break after this week, but not before throwing what promises to be a memorable holiday bash. All sorts of names can be found across this card, in what was originally scheduled as a 16-fight spectacular, but trimmed due to the virus’ latest surge.

Even so, we still have a card worth tuning into, not the least of which is for the top two bouts. Two-time welterweight title challenger Stephen Thompson meets fast-rising Geoff Neal in the evening’s main event, while the co-feature bout sees Marlon Vera in his biggest showcase as he takes on featherweight legend Jose Aldo in a bantamweight matchup.

UFC Fight Night 183 takes place Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The card streams on ESPN+.

Without further ado, then, here are five burning questions going into it.
