Askren Betting Underdog Against Paul

The odds for the proposed boxing match between former Bellator MMA and ONE Welterweight champion, Ben Askren, and YouTube personality-turned boxer, Jake Paul, have been released, and the bookies aren’t liking “Funky’s” chances.

According to Bet Online, Paul has opened up as the -180 favorite to defeat the former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) contender, who came in at +150.

While Askren does have a wealth of combat experience, he has never participated in a professional boxing match, so taking on Paul will be uncharted waters for the ex-MMA start who retired with an impressive 19-2-1 mark in 2019.

Paul, on the other hand, is coming off a knockout win over retired NBA star, Nate Robinson, though many aren’t putting too much weight in that performance since Robinson is a novice in the fight game.

Still, the YouTube mega-star is serious about making boxing a full time career, going as far as challenging Conor McGregor and his training partner, Dillon Danis.
