Dean Barry vs. Mike Jackson postponed from UFC Fight Night event on Jan. 20

Dean Barry has announced his planned matchup with Mike Jackson won’t go down on its originally scheduled date.

Barry (3-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC) took to social media on Friday to reveal his welterweight showdown with Jackson (1-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC), originally set for UFC Fight Night on Jan. 20, has been postponed.

Additional details were not provided by Barry, but indicated an issue with Jackson caused the delay. Nevertheless, he expects the fight to still happen in the coming months (via Twitter):

Well guys 20 minutes before 2020 ended I got a phone call to say Jackson wont make the fight on January 20th you just cant write this shit. Do not ask me why because I dont know the full ins and outsnd wish him the best.. We are been rescheduled for march/april in America.

Jackson confirmed Barry’s announcement that the fight is off on his social media. He did not provide reasoning, but wrote, “I’m blaming this one on 2020, despite the news coming out in 2021.”
