Kyler Phillips vs. Song Yadong added to UFC 259 on March 6

Streaking bantamweights will square off on March 6.

Kyler Phillips (8-1 MMA, 2-0 UFC) takes on Song Yadong (16-4-1 MMA, 5-0-1 UFC) at UFC 259 in an event that does not yet have a venue or location.

Two people with knowledge of the matchup recently informed MMA Junkie of the booking but asked to remain anonymous since the promotion has yet to make an official announcement. BloodyCanvas.net was the first to report the booking.

Phillips, a Dana White’s Contender Series and “The Ultimate Fighter” alum, has won his past three in a row, most recently scoring a second-round finish of newcomer Cameron Else in October.

Unbeaten in the UFC, Yadong is coming off a close decision win over Marlon Vera in May. Prior to that, he battled Cody Stamann to a majority draw at UFC on ESPN 8 in December 2019.
