Max Holloway is willing to fight again next weekend at UFC 257 following his main event destruction over Calvin Kattar earlier tonight (Sat., Jan. 16, 2021) at UFC Fight Island 7 as part of the promotion’s debut on ABC (highlights HERE).

Holloway, who looked better than he ever has before, dominated Kattar from pillar to post over the course of five bloody rounds. Kattar channeled his inner “Korean Zombie” and ate everything Holloway had to offer, but “Blessed” still managed to land a record 455 significant strikes in his most lopsided Octagon victory to date.

During his post-fight interview (shown below), the former UFC featherweight champion offered up his services for UFC 257, which goes down next weekend on ESPN+ PPV and features a lightweight main event between top contenders Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier. “Blessed” has fought and lost to both fighters before, but is still willing to stick around on “Fight Island” in case somebody falls out over the next week.

“If anything happens to McGregor or Poirier Dana has my number!”

Holloway, who turned 29 last month, arguably locked up another crack at the 145-pound title after current champion Alexander Volkanovski meets Brian Ortega in March. But if something were to happen to McGregor or Poirier, as well as UFC 257’s co-main event between Dan Hooker and Michael Chandler, Holloway would be a phenomenal option to fill in.

After all, UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov is waiting to see “something spectacular” next weekend on “Fight Island.” Maybe Holloway can make that happen if presented the opportunity to fight.
