Video: Watch Countdown To UFC 257

There’s no better way to hype the Conor McGregor vs. Dustin Poirier rematch than by serious-talky-voice guy, who will narrate the “Countdown to UFC 257” preview special (Embedded above) for the Jan. 23 pay-per-view (PPV) fight card, anchored by the co-main event between former Bellator MMA lightweight champion Michael Chandler and longtime UFC 155-pound veteran Dan Hooker.

The McGregor-Poirier headliner serves as a rematch from their UFC 178 battle back in late 2014. It’s up to “Notorious” to prove that nothing has changed between himself and “The Diamond” — at least in terms of the gap in skill set — when the cage door closes this weekend on Fight Island in Abu Dhabi, where select fans will be permitted to attend. A potential title shot awaits the winner.

The same can be said for Chandler if he’s able to make a highlight-reel debut opposite “The Hangman.” We still don’t know what kind of transition “Iron” will make inside the Octagon but if it’s anything like former Bellator MMA rival Eddie Alvarez, you can expect some serious noise from Chandler this weekend (and beyond).
