6 burning questions heading into UFC 257

We’re only in the third week of 2021, but we can state with full confidence that by the time the year comes to a close, UFC 257 will be on the short list of MMA’s biggest events, if not the single biggest.

That’s the case whenever Conor McGregor fights. The former UFC lightweight and featherweight champion will step into the octagon for just the third time in four years when he takes on former interim lightweight champ Dustin Poirier in the evening’s main event. That will go down one fight after what promises to be a sizzling co-feature bout between former three-time Bellator lightweight titleholder Michael Chandler and the all-action Dan Hooker.

UFC 257 takes place at Etihad Arena on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi with a main card that airs on pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN and ESPN+

Without further ado then, here are six burning questions heading into UFC 257.
