Reyes vs. Prochazka out, Rozenstruik vs. Gane in as UFC Fight Night headliner for Feb. 27

UFC Fight Night on Feb. 27 will now have a new main event.

After the original headliner between Dominick Reyes and Jiri Prochazka fell through due to undisclosed reasons, heavyweights Jairzinho Rozenstruik and Ciryl Gane will now headline the event.

Two people with knowledge of the matchup informed MMA Junkie of the booking Saturday but asked to remain anonymous, as the promotion has not yet made an official announcement. Rozenstruik was first to report the news on his social media.

Rozenstruik (11-1 MMA, 5-1 UFC) and Gane (7-0 MMA, 4-0- UFC) were originally slated for the UFC Fight Night card on March 13, but will now square off two weeks earlier, which will mark the Frenchman’s first main event appearance.

In his seven pro wins, the undefeated Gane has stopped all but one of his opponents. He is coming off his biggest win to date, a second-round TKO of former heavyweight champion Junior Dos Santos at UFC 256.

Rozenstruik rebounded from his first career loss to Francis Ngannou with a second-round finish of Dos Santos at UFC 252. “Bigi Boy” has stopped all his opponents inside the octagon, including a knockout of Alistair Overeem.

With the addition, the UFC Fight Night lineup for Feb. 27 now includes:

  • Jairzinho Rozenstruik vs. Ciryl Gane
  • Raphael Assuncao vs. Raoni Barcelos
  • William Knight vs. Alonzo Menifield
  • Alexis Davis vs. Sabina Mazo
  • Randy Brown vs. Alex Oliveira
  • Hannah Cifers vs. Emily Whitmire
  • Alex Caceres vs. Kevin Croom
  • Magomed Ankalaev vs. Nikita Krylov
