Ryan Hall has suffered an injury and has been forced out of his scheduled Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Featherweight scrap against Dan Ige, which was set to go down on March 13, 2021 at UFC Vegas 21. That’s according to BJPenn.com, who also reports that the promotion is actively seeking a replacement to take the fight on a month’s notice.

Hall has had a tough time finding his way back into the Octagon. The jiu-jitsu ace hasn’t competed since taking out Darren Elkins in mid-2019. He was in line to face Ricardo Lamas in August of 2020 but the fight was scrapped after Hall was forced out with an injury. All told, the submission sensation has only competed three times since 2016.

As far as a potential replacement for Ige goes, I personally wouldn’t mind it if the promotion set up a 145-pound scrap between he and Bryce Mitchell. “Thug Nasty” is currently ranked No. 13 (two spots behind Ige) and is undefeated at 14-0, 5-0 UFC). Ige, meanwhile, was on a six fight win streak prior to losing to Calvin Kattar.

UFC Vegas 21 event is set to feature a highly-anticipated Welterweight scrap between Leon Edwards and Khamzat Chimaev, as well as Eryk Anders taking on Darren Stewart in a Middleweight affair.
