UFC free fight: Curtis Blaydes vs Shamil Abdurakhimov

Curtis Blaydes has some pretty heavy ground-and-pound.

The UFC heavyweight contender has proved in many bouts that his wrestling, paired with his ground strikes, are as dangerous as they come in the UFC. One of the many bouts in which Blaydes has been able to showcase that was in September 2019 when he faced Shamil Abdurakhimov.

Blaydes picked up a second-round TKO win when he battered Abdurakhimov with heavy ground-and-pound and left his face bloodied. It was a one-sided performance with Blaydes in control at all times.

Two wins later, Blaydes is preparing to headline UFC Fight Night 185 on Saturday against Derick Lewis. It’s a key heavyweight bout and one that could reshape the top rankings of the division.
