You’ve never seen a fighter’s body fold in half from a knockout punch quite like this

What elevates a knockout isn’t just the strike itself, it’s what happens to the fighter suffering the KO immediately after he takes the hit.

Does he wobble before ultimately falling down? Does he instantly go to sleep and crash to the canvas? Does his body stiffen up like a board and collapse whichever way momentum carries him?

All of these things are what make knockouts both beautiful and brutal – whether we’re talking about boxing, MMA or some other combat sport. In this post, we’re talking about boxing, and my goodness: You have never seen a fighter’s body fold in half like this in your life.

Look at this incredible finish produced by Wasim Chellan against Yann Lenvo (warning: it’s graphic):

There’s also this ringside view that’ll blow you away:

I can’t even begin to describe what happened to Lenvo after he took that vicious left hook from Chellan. The human body is not meant to bend like that. Did he tear every ligament in both knees? Is his back broken for good? How did his head stay attached to his neck? My goodness.

According to BoxRec.com, this fight took place last February in Cape Town, South Africa, and it was Chellan’s professional debut. The KO clip was shared this week by Fight Africa, which is promoting a March 12 event that will feature Chellan’s return to the ring.

We might want to tune in.
